A former FBI assistant director of intelligence is now sounding the alarms about a growing threat to U.S. national security: The Biden administration.

In a lengthy editorial in The Hill, Kevin R. Brock argued that the “weak leadership” from the president on down is making for a more dangerous world.

“The Biden administration has exposed itself as incapable of making basic prudential decisions, and then compounding it with outrageous statements by the president, Pentagon brass, and the State Department that have many Americans asking, ‘What were you thinking?” What were you thinking when you decided to extract military personnel from Afghanistan without moving American civilians and Afghan employees out of harm’s way first?’”

The former FBI official proceeded to take the Biden presidency to task for spreading chaos, most notably, within the U.S. government itself.

“There is chaos — it is among America’s weak political and military leaders,” Brock said. “We’ve been subjected daily to conflicting messages between the president and the Pentagon about the safety of 15,000 Americans who remain in grave danger behind enemy lines. Just yesterday, Biden’s press secretary claimed that it is ‘irresponsible‘ to refer to Americans in Afghanistan as “stranded” since the U.S. is committed to evacuating anyone who wants to leave. All they have to do is make it through Taliban checkpoints and get to the Kabul airport.”

“This is the type of logic you get from ‘leaders’who are in over their heads,” he added.

Then Brock proceeded to pillory the presidency for its fundamental disconnect from reality stemming from its ‘Woke’ politics.

“Can the State Department seem any more out of touch with reality? State is letting us know, much to our dismay, that after 20 years in Afghanistan they apparently remain clueless about whom they are dealing with. The Taliban are uncivilized, violent, religious fanatics who brutalize women,” he said. “Start from that reality. Woke won’t work.”

The editorial’s conclusion is that “weakness always results in less security,” a point that has been on full display since the very beginning of the Biden presidency.

“The Biden administration is being pilloried, even by some traditional allies, for its breathtaking miscalculations — and deservedly so,” he wrote. “Biden has avoidably placed thousands of American lives in immediate danger, emboldened evil oppressors, and likely returned Afghanistan to the terror safe haven we set out to eliminate twenty years ago. Weakness always results in less security.”

The editorial’s warnings come amidst the news that the Taliban has rejected the extension of the August 31 deadline, proposed by the Biden administration, to evacuate all Americans out of the country. The CIA director was reported to have conducted “secret meetings” to evacuate all stranded Americans from the volatile situation.

Lara Logan recently made the indisputable point, and one that contrasts with the surreal developments out of Afghanistan, that the Biden administration signaling weakness is an intentional choice.

“It always comes down to one thing, one or two things. And in this case, in Afghanistan, this comes down to the fact that the United States wants this outcome,” she said.

“Whoever is in power right now, whoever is really pulling the strings – and I don’t know that – they could do anything they want to change this. And they’re not.”

Whether it’s the botched military withdrawal from Afghanistan, the escalating border crisis, or the unwillingness to confront China over its belligerence and culpability for the Covid pandemic, the Biden administration is inviting disaster from within and abroad.
