HERE WE GO…In Afghanistan, sharia law is back and with it public floggings

by BNI, September 21, 2021:

In front of a large crowd, a man screams in agony as he is shackled to a post and brutally flogged by his Taliban captors in Kabul after being accused (but not tried and convicted) of stealing a cell phone.
Daily Mail (h/t Nita) Footage shows the man writhing and screaming in pain as he is struck over the shoulders with a whip, while tied to a traffic sign using metal arm restraints.

The video emerged as the Taliban’s effective ban on women working came into force on Monday, despite public assurances to the Biden Regime to be more moderate than the government which ruled with an iron fist in the 1990s.

During the Taliban’s rule in the 1990s, it was this ministry that was responsible for directing its morality police and enforcing its harshest Sharia punishments – including amputations and executions.Taliban official says regime is bringing back executions, amputations

The 40-year old farmer was on his way to a polling station to cast his vote on August 20 when he claimed the Taliban beat him and cut his ears and nose off. Officials are expected to announce results from around half of polling stations later August 31 following the second direct presidential vote in the country, which was overshadowed by an escalating Taliban insurgency and abysmal turnout. Please take a moment to consider this. Now, more than ever, people are reading Geller Report for news they won’t get anywhere else. But advertising revenues have all but disappeared. Google Adsense is the online advertising monopoly and they have banned us. Social media giants like Facebook and Twitter have blocked and shadow-banned our accounts. But we won’t put up a paywall. Everyone who reads our reporting knows the Geller Report covers the news the media won’t. We cannot do our ground-breaking report without your support. We must continue to report on the global jihad and the left’s war on freedom. Our readers’ contributions make that possible.

Geller Report’s independent, investigative journalism takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we believe our work is critical in the fight for freedom and because it is your fight, too.
